Closer and Better Research on Marijuana Promises

The newest science report concludes that closer research is required to study the marijuana medical benefits. A report that was recently released calls for research expand on cannabis’s potential medical applications and its products such as cannabinoid which are chemical components. It has become a general knowledge that scientists remain staying on two contrasting sides, the ones supporting cannabis as it is seen to be beneficial and the ones who objects the use of cannabis due to its negative effects. The recent progress shows that cannabis has jumped out of science as it has already been legalized in 28 states. In fact, recreational pot use is already considered legal in states of Columbia and its districts.
Cannabis Being Legal
It is true that cannabis has said to be jumped out of science following its legalization and commercialization in various parts throughout the world. Yet, it is true that cannabis has potential medical benefits though it alone cannot be used to claim cannabis as completely safe to consume for medical needs. Other research has shown the negative consequences such as psychological and respiratory problems. The growing accessibility, acceptance and use of cannabis including its derivative products have raised public health concerns.
Further Test for Cannabis Use
Despite of rejection and ignore from many scientists, there are some potential marijuana medical benefits and cannabinoids that include reducing chronic pain in adults, muscle spasm and prevent chemotherapy-induced vomiting and nausea in adults. Other research shows the positive medical benefits of cannabis to improve sleep for those adults suffering from chronic pain, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis and sleep apnea. Despite of its potential medical benefits, most scientists agree that cannabis has to be tested rigorously like other medicines to prove that it is fully safe to be consumed. It is also expected that the research helps to develop standard regarding the chemical composition for cannabis products before given to people.

Although the potential medical benefits from cannabis have been proven but scientists still have more questions than answers. This is the main reason why most scientists haven’t fully agreed the legal use of cannabis. Psychological problem is another reason why cannabis hasn’t seen as to be fully safe to use. It has been proven that moderate use of cannabis can lead to development of addictions to illegal drugs, tobacco and alcohol. Tie pot use also leads to more serious personal problems like unemployment, academic problems, lowered income and also dropping out of schools or campus. Therefore, further research regarding marijuana medical benefits is critically required.
